Impacting Our Community
The Group’s commitment to creating opportunities related to sustainability extends both to the communities in which we work and live and to those beyond. We are involved in initiatives focused at levels local to national, and are proud to have built partnerships that have impacted our city, our state and our nation. The firm assists entities committed to sustainability and environmental conservation, education and outreach. We represent environmental grant makers and charities, both public and private, and work cooperatively with initiatives, local to national, to promote environmental conservation and the sustainable utilization of natural resources.
For example, the firm represents a private, independent family foundation committed to preventing damage to the natural systems—water, air, and land—on which all life depends. We also represent a privately established endangered species fund dedicated to conserving biodiversity, protecting imperiled species and promoting habitat conservation in the American west. The head of our Group was integral in the initial founding of a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to advocating and securing protection and stewardship of the Chattahoochee River Basin. The firm is also proud to advise a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to supporting hands-on environmental projects for youth in grades K-12, harnessing the power of environmental education to support children in achieving a better understanding and appreciation of the world in which they live. Further, we work closely with city leaders and university administration to advance sustainability planning and action at both city and university levels as a vehicle for measurable improvement in those entities’ environmental quality and sustainability ranking.
